PM Modi’s Visit to Varanasi on 20th, A Big Gift of Projects Worth Rs 3,254.03 Crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a six-hour visit to his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on October 20th. During this visit, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth ₹3254.03 crores, a significant gift to Varanasi and the entire country ahead of Diwali. This includes the inauguration of 15 projects worth ₹380.13 crores and the laying of the foundation stone for two projects worth ₹2874.17 crores. PM Modi will also address a public gathering at the Sigra Sports Stadium during his stay in Varanasi.

Preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit have ramped up across the district. Officials, BJP leaders from Kashi, and elected representatives are overseeing the arrangements at the event sites. Preparations at the Sigra Stadium are in their final stages. The SPG team has also arrived in the city. According to administrative sources, Prime Minister Modi will also announce the gift of airports for six other districts from Varanasi. This includes the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of new civil enclaves at Bagdogra, Darbhanga, and Agra airports, costing ₹3041 crores. Additionally, he will virtually inaugurate the construction of a new terminal building at the Rewa airport, a new terminal building at the Maa Mahamaya Airport in Ambikapur, and the construction of a civil enclave at the Sarsawa airport. The construction cost for these projects is ₹255.18 crores.
