The Central Government has abolished the recommendation quota of MPs as per the guidelines for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas for the year 2022-23. KVS Under the Special Right to Admission Scheme, a Member of Parliament was empowered to recommend a maximum of ten students from his constituency for admission in classes I to IX.
There was a demand of the MPs for a long time that the recommendation quota should be abolished or their number should be increased. KVS As per the revised guidelines issued by the Board, many changes were made under the special provision of admission policy.
According to them, apart from the MP quota, KVS Other reservations have also been abolished under privilege quota of 100 children of employees of Ministry of Education, children of MPs and their dependents, children of retired employees of Kendriya Vidyalayas and Chairman of School Management Committee.
