Four MoUs have been signed between India and Nepal. These agreements were signed during the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Nepal’s Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba in New Delhi yesterday. Discussions were also held regarding the expansion of cooperation between the two countries.
He flagged off a passenger train between Jaynagar in Bihar and Kurtha in Nepal. They also jointly inaugurated the Solu Corridor – a 132 kW power transmission line and a power sub-station in Nepal. Prime Minister Modi stressed the need to further strengthen the cooperation between the security and safety institutions between the two countries.
Modi said Deuba has played a major role in strengthening the ties between the two countries. He said that there is no such mutual relationship between the people of the two countries anywhere in the world. Modi also said that with the introduction of RuPay card in Nepal, a new chapter will be added in our economic connectivity.
