A new twist has come on Monday in the Gyanvapi Masjid controversy. Acting on the claim that a Shivling was found inside the mosque premises, the court has ordered the sealing of the place.
Along with this, the court has banned anyone going there. Along with the implementation of this order, the court has entrusted the responsibility of security of the sealed place to the DM, Police Commissioner, Police Commissionerate and Commandant of CRPF, Varanasi.
The Varanasi district court had asked the authorities to seal the Vajukhana area inside the mosque premises. A video survey of the premises was conducted by a team under the supervision of the court. The Advocate Commissioner will present the survey report in the court today, after which the matter will be heard in the Varanasi court.
