The Supreme Court made remarks on Thursday on the roads of Delhi that were blocked due to the farmers’ agitation. The court said that a highway cannot be permanently closed like this. The court said that clear orders have already been passed in this matter. The government is unable to implement it.
Along with the central government, the court asked the state governments of Delhi, Haryana and UP, “How can highways be blocked after all? Where will all this end? The court said that they have made laws in this regard and it is duty to enforce them.
The petition states that the petitioner being a single mother has made it a nightmare for her to travel from Noida to Delhi. It takes them 2 hours instead of 20 minutes and this has been happening for two weeks.
