Suvendu Adhikari offered prayers at the temple, expressed concern over the situation in Murshidabad

Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Suvendu Adhikari performed ritualistic worship at a temple in Tamluk, East Medinipur on the occasion of Bengali New Year. Describing the New Year as a symbol of new opportunities, he said, “Today is the first day of the Bengali New Year. I have started my new year by worshiping in the temple on this holy day, which is a symbol of a new beginning for me.”

While extending New Year greetings, the official mentioned a serious incident that took place recently in Murshidabad district. He expressed his deep concern and said that a Hindu father-son duo was brutally murdered in Murshidabad. He alleged that this incident clearly shows that the Hindu community is being targeted in the area.

The officer raised questions on the law and order situation in Murshidabad and urged the state government to take immediate action in this matter. He said that such incidents adversely affect social harmony and peace. At the same time, he called upon the communities to maintain peace and be cautious of rumors.

Many local citizens and supporters of Adhikari were present at the event held at the temple in Tamluk. On the occasion of Bengali New Year, a significant number of devotees were seen at the temple, where people gathered to receive blessings on the New Year. Suvendu Adhikari urged everyone to bring positive change in the society with unity.
