The commissioners, who surveyed the Gyanvapi mosque in Uttar Pradesh, have requested the Varanasi civil court to extend their report by two more days.
The court had ordered the survey team to submit its report by today. Assistant commissioner Ajay Pratap Singh filed a petition in the court demanding this.
In another development, the public prosecutor has requested the court to appoint a new commissioner in the matter. The public prosecutor has appealed to the court to seal the area to be performed wudu and shift the toilet to another place. Earlier, the commissioners appointed by the court completed the videography survey work at Gyanvapi Masjid yesterday.
