Delhi government minister Ashish Sood on Tuesday confirmed the national capital’s extensive emergency preparedness. As per the Home Ministry’s directive, the state is all set to conduct a comprehensive mock drill on May 7.
Minister Sood told the media that this mock drill is being conducted for the first time since 1971. In the context of the Pahalgam terror attack, he highlighted the solidarity of the citizens of the country and their dedication towards the government.
On the Haryana-Punjab water dispute, Sood levelled serious allegations against former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, alleging that he was creating hurdles in water supply out of political vendetta.
Current Chief Minister of Delhi Rekha Gupta inaugurated a crucial power infrastructure project. The 66/11 kV GIS sub-station installed at Palam Village will ensure uninterrupted power supply to over one lakh citizens of South-West Delhi.
Chief Minister Gupta described the project as in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a developed India. This sub-station will meet the power requirements of areas like Palam, Dwarka and Mahavir Enclave.
This project is not just a power grid but also the foundation of a strong and secure future for the people of Delhi.
