There is an atmosphere of devotion and joy across the country on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, President and Ministers extended their best wishes.

Chhath Mahaparva, a symbol of faith, devotion, and folk culture, is being celebrated across the country . During this four-day festival, millions of devotees are seen engrossed in sun worship at the ghats. President Draupadi Murmu , Union Home Minister Amit Shah , and BJP President J.P. Nadda, along with several other leaders, extended their greetings to the nation.

President Draupadi Murmu issued a message on X on Monday, writing,
“I extend my heartfelt greetings to all my fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of the great festival of Chhath Puja. This festival is an occasion to worship the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya and to express gratitude to Mother Nature. I wish that this festival brings happiness and prosperity to everyone’s life and inspires us to protect the environment.”

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also described Chhath as a symbol of popular faith in his message. He wrote,
“Heartiest greetings on the auspicious occasion of Chhath! May this festival, filled with enthusiasm, excitement, and joy, bring new energy and prosperity to all of you. May Chhathi Maiya’s blessings be upon everyone. Jai Chhathi Maiya!”

BJP National President Jagat Prakash Nadda said in his message,
“Many congratulations to all of you on the occasion of Chhath Mahaparva, dedicated to folk faith and immense devotion to Lord Bhaskar. This festival is a wonderful confluence of faith, folk culture, dedication, and sacrifice. Each offering of Chhath gives the message of light, truth, and balance in life. May Chhathi Maiya and Lord Surya bless everyone’s life with happiness, prosperity, and health.”

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also greeted the countrymen and said that Chhath Puja is a festival of worshipping Lord Sun and gratitude towards nature.

Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote in his message,
“Sandhya Arghya is the main day of Chhath Puja, which symbolizes devotion and a deep connection with nature. May the Sun God and Chhathi Maiya bless everyone’s life with brightness and happiness.”

Millions of devotees are gathering this evening at the ghats of the Ganga, Yamuna, and other rivers across the country for the evening offering
of Sandhya Arghya. The atmosphere is resonating with folk songs, chants, and devotional sentiments. Considered a wonderful confluence of sun worship and environmental protection, this festival is being celebrated as one of India’s most sacred and vibrant traditions .
