Torrential rains continue in Maharashtra. People living in the banks of rivers are facing a lot of trouble.

Ratnagiri has received one thousand 781 decimal seven mm rainfall so far this month, which is a record for the last 40 years. Panch Ganga river has reached the danger mark in Kolhapur.

In view of the gravity of the situation, 12 teams of National Disaster Response Force have been deployed to assist in the relief and rescue operations. These teams are helping the local officials and relief teams of the state.

Indian Navy has also engaged in relief work in the most affected Khed and Chiplun areas of Ratnagiri. Rain water has entered a Kovid center in Khed, due to which 35 patients from there have to be shifted to other hospitals.

Road and rail traffic has also been badly affected due to heavy rains. Badlapur to Khopoli section and Konkan Railway services are canceled.
