The national flag is a symbol of pride for the entire country. In honor of the tricolor, tricolor programs are being organized in every house across the country. The Ministry of Culture has taken this initiative under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Through this program every Indian is being motivated to hoist the national flag at their home.
Collectively hoisting the tricolor at home in the 75th year of independence shows not only a personal connection to the tricolor but also our commitment towards nation-building. The objective of this program is to promote the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and awareness about the national flag.
In Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called upon all citizens to turn the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a mass movement by hoisting the national flag at their homes. He also called upon people to use the tricolor in the profile pictures of their social media accounts to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.
