US National Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard is on a visit to India. During this, she has expressed concern over the political turmoil and unrest in Bangladesh. She said that the Trump administration is committed to defeating the ideology of ‘Islamic terrorism’.
Gabbard highlighted the Trump administration’s determination to tackle extremist forces and ‘Islamic terrorism’. She said the Trump administration is committed to defeating the ideology that promotes ‘Islamic terrorism’ globally.
The US intelligence chief criticised the deteriorating situation in Bangladesh and said the long-standing persecution, abuse and killing of Hindus, Buddhists, Christians and other religious minorities is a major area of concern for the US government and President Trump.
She also said that the Trump administration has started talks with the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh. Gabbard described the nefarious plots being carried out by extremist elements and terrorists to create a platform for ‘Islamic Caliphate’ in different parts of the world as a ‘global pattern’. She said that the Trump administration is prioritizing its policies to deal with such threats.
The US intelligence chief said that President Trump has made his stand clear to defeat the intentions of ‘radical Islamic terrorism’. He said that President Trump is committed to identifying the ideology that promotes Islamic terrorism and defeating this ideology.
