Two devotees died due to stampede in Banke Bihari temple

After the Mahabhishek of Thakur ji late on Friday night at the Banke Bihari temple in Vrindavan, a stampede broke out among people to catch a glimpse of the Lord at the time of Mangala Aarti. In which two devotees were crushed to death by the crowd, while 7 others were injured. At the same time, more than 50 devotees have fainted due to suffocation in the stampede in this accident.

The injured have been admitted to three hospitals in Vrindavan. One woman and one man are among the dead. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep grief over this accident.

He has directed the district administration officers to provide proper treatment to the injured. In these, Nirmala Devi, a woman resident of Noida Sector 99, and Ram Prasad Vishwakarma, 65, a resident of Rukmini Vihar Colony of Vrindavan, died.
