Upgraded Security Along India-Bangladesh Border: BSF Director General Expresses Gratitude for Land Allotment

NEW DELHI: The Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF) conveyed gratitude to the government for facilitating crucial land clearances to bolster defensive infrastructure along the India-Bangladesh border. The strategic provision of land will accelerate development projects, strengthen vigilance networks, and optimize operational readiness along vulnerable border sectors.

The land handover enables the expedited installation of comprehensive perimeter fencing, high-tech monitoring posts, and integrated surveillance systems along sensitive stretches. These physical and technical enhancements will significantly strengthen border management, providing security personnel with the necessary infrastructure to deter unlawful cross-border transit, smuggling operations, and associated illegal activities.

The BSF chief emphasized that operational capabilities and personnel mobility will see marked improvements as logistical bottlenecks are resolved. Prioritizing essential land allocations reflects an active commitment to national security, ensuring structured border management and long-term peace in border communities.
