‘We worship Lord Krishna who also plays the flute and carries the Sudarshana Chakra’: PM Modi sends a strong message from Ladakh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (3 July) addressed the Indian Armed Force personnel at the Nimmoo Brigade Headquarters in Ladakh, he praised the Indian troops. He said that Bharat Mata’s enemies have seen their fire and fury and said that, “we are the same people who pray to the flute playing Lord Krishna but we are also the same people who idolise and follow the same Lord Krishna who carries the ‘Sudarshana Chakra”.

“A strong message has been sent to the world about India’s strength thanks to the bravery of Indian troops”, said the PM.

While paying tribute to the soldiers martyred at Galwan, Prime Minister Modi said that the courage of Indian troops is higher than the heights where they are posted today.

“Your valour is unparalleled, higher than the mountains you patrol. Your determination is stronger than the rocks you stand. I have seen this for myself. When the country is in your hands, the country has unbreakable faith”, Prime Minister Modi was quoted as saying.

During his speech Prime Minister Modi also said that bravery is a pre-requisite for peace and the weak can never initiate peace. Taking a dig at China, Prime Minister Modi said that the age of expansionism is now over and that history bears witness that expansionist forces either lost or were turned back.

Prime Minister Modi added that he wishes to pay tribute to two mothers today – one being Bharat Mata and the other being all the brave women who gave birth to such warriors.

Prime Minister Modi ended his speech by chanting Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Vande Mataram along with all the troops present at the venue.
