Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the “Developed India Young Leaders Dialogue 2026,” said that the journey that began with “Next Generation Reforms” has now become the “Reform Express,” with the country’s youth power at its center . PM Modi urged young people to break free from the “slave mentality” and advance their heritage and ideas to make India developed and self-reliant.
The Prime Minister shared a video of his speech on the social media platform X on Tuesday, writing that the past 11 years have opened new doors of opportunity in every sector of the country. Citing the content and creativity sector, he said that today’s youth can incorporate inspiring stories like the Ramayana and Mahabharata into the gaming world. He also said that Indian cultural icons, such as Lord Hanuman , can play a major role in global gaming content.
PM Modi said, “The series of Next Generation Reforms we have initiated has now become the Reform Express. At its core is our youth power.” In another post, he said that Swami Vivekananda’s life teaches us that we should confidently carry forward our identity, ideas, and culture.
The event was organized to mark National Youth Day. On Monday, PM Modi participated in the closing session and interacted with approximately 3,000 youth leaders from across the country . Selected participants presented to the Prime Minister on ten topics of national importance.
Addressing the event, PM Modi said that the journey to 2047 will be crucial for India, as the country will celebrate 100 years of independence. Describing the youth as a “golden opportunity,” he said their strength will become India’s strength, and their success will take the country to new heights.
The Prime Minister stressed that no country can become self-reliant and developed without self-confidence. He urged the youth to be proud of their heritage and resolve to end the mindset of slavery. PM Modi also indicated that similar dialogues will be initiated in the future regarding district development, so that youth in every state can come together to create a strong “think web.”
