BJP President Amit Shah in Jharkhand: BJP has ended the dynasty, caste and appeasement politics, says Shah.

Speaking during a public conference organised during ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Janm Shatabdi Samaroh Samiti’ at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, BJP President Amit Shah said “Jharkhand has been brought to the third position from 36th in ease of doing business through better planning and sensibility. We have a chain of dedicated workers and we believe that the whole Country is ours and have accepted everyone”.

Shah, who was here in connection with his 110- day countrywide tour, released the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya – Sampurna Wangmai ,’Thoughts in Totality’, a collection of thoughts of RSS ideologue Upadhyaya, and thanked Dr Mahesh Sharma and his team for bringing it out.

He lauded Upadhyaya for his selfless work for the country and the party and laying the path for a 10-member outfit to become a party of 11 crore members. Shah said it was a right decision by the Centre and 18 BJP-ruled states to celebrate Upadhyayas birth centenary year.

Shah criticised the policies formulated soon after Independence, saying these were based on the policies of western countries and cited the example of,’ Shyama Prasad Mukherjee ‘resigning from the Jawaharlal Nehru Cabinet over differences as regards the policies.

Shah praised the Raghubar Das government for a growth rate of 8.6%,taking the state on the path of development and giving a corruption-free rule in the state. ”Today no one has any confusion which direction the Country was going towards, he added.

‘Grants to Jharkhand Government under various programmes has been increased from Rs 55,253 crore to 1,43,345 crore, remarkable development in the State is being observed by the entire world’, said Shah.

Jharkhand’s share in the central taxes which was Rs 39,938 crore during the 13th finance commission has increased to Rs 1,24,408 crore under the 14th finance commission while central grants have gone up from Rs 6,087 crore to Rs 9,469 crore,” Shah said in a press conference.

“A voter must see whether there is internal democracy in the party, on what principles and ideologies does it work and what was the track record of the party,” said Shah. Out of 1,650 big and small political parties all over the Country, only BJP and Communist Party have internal democracy in them, out of which Communist Party has lost its relevance in the present politics, he added.

“It is due to that quality, a poor man who used to sell tea earlier, is the Prime Minister of India,” said the BJP National President. He said that he felt proud that he was the president of a party of which Pandit Deen Dayal Upadyaya was president.

Meanwhile, Shah also accused the Congress of “indulging in family fiefdom since Independence” and said there was no place for merit in that party

On the occasion of the state government completing 1,000 days in power, approximately 46,325 beneficiaries got benefits worth a total Rs340 crore under various schemes at the ‘Garib Kalyan Mela’. Some of the scheme were like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Mudra Health Card, Fasal Bima Yojana and Grameen Bus Seva.

Shah said the BJP would inform the people about the performance of its governments, be it at the Centre or states. “In the past, observing 1,000 days of government would have meant eulogising the Chief Minister. But here, we are organising a series of such melas to take the benefits to the people,” he said.

Shah said the top post in the saffron party was all about commitment and merit and on the basis of that, he, who was a booth-level president of the party years ago, had become its national president. Shah said the BJP was not in politics to grab power and described it as the “most democratic party” in the country.

Shah went on to say,”Demand for the separate state of Jharkhand was fulfilled by Atal Bihari Vajpayee

Shah went on to say,”Demand for the separate state of Jharkhand was fulfilled by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. It was created by him. Modi Ji will help it prosper.” “There should be three important things for a party internal democracy, functioning on principles and track record,” he added.

Shah described Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “forward looking leader” and said he had earned laurels and respect for the country from all over the world. “Because of his (Modis) initiatives, all the countries are now trying to build a good relation with India,” he added.

Praising the achievements of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government at the Centre, Shah said,” Now everyone is confident that under the leadership of Modi, the country is scripting new developmental stories.

“The BJP has given such a transparent government that even our Opposition are not in a position to accuse us of any scams or corruption”, he said “BJP has ended the dynasty, caste and appeasement politics in the country,” he added.

He claimed that the country witnessed a paradigm shift under Modi and added that the government was now not reforming, but transforming the country in all the sectors. The government had a vision for all the people of the country and not for some, Shah said.

With regard to India’s foreign policy, Shah dismissed China’s objection to Japan showing interests in investment in the north eastern states. He asserted that India has the sovereign right to develop the country within its boundaries.

“India’s policy has been very well clarified by Sushmaji (External Affairs Minister). It is our sovereign right to develop the country inside our boundaries and we will utilise that right,” Mr Shah.

Shah also described last years surgical strikes, carried out by the Army in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), as one of the biggest achievements of the government, and said they restored self-confidence and honour in every Indian.

While addressing party men at the party office in Jharkhand on his tour of India He said the aim is the expansion of organisational works and to get support from the people as seen in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, along with the party reaching its peak.
