Ruling leaders always point towards the peak and opposition always point towards the downsides. But, in a recent interview, BJP President Amit Shah made it clear that BJP is ready to talk in numbers.
Recently, an interview organized by Zee India Conclave with Amit Shah concluded with various facets of democracy in India. It also concluded BJP’s stronghold in Indian political system. On the other hand, we could see Congress’s baseless repartee in the context of its losing battle.
Seems like BJP is ready to speak with numbers but Congress is still circling around hypothetical blame-game.
BJP president Amit Shah highlighted various successful schemes conducted by Modi government. However, he strongly denied making any strong comments on recently held bypoll elections.
Starting with Gorakhpur by polls, interviewer put up the question about BJP’s lose in Gorakhpur polls. Taking that on a lighter note, Mr. Shah said that, “He can make legitimate comments only after detailed analysis”.
He also mentioned that “Parajay ki Parchhai Mein Ya Vijay ke Utah me Vishleshan Nai Hote Hain”. (Analysis cannot be performed in the shadow of defeats or enthusiasm of triumphs).
When asked further, Shah mentioned that “It can be a result of an alliance of Samajwadi Party and BSP. Also, a number of votes were lesser”.
Sonia Gandhi Counts Flaws in Ruling Govt.
Before, Mr. Shah, former Congress president, Sonia Gandhi was interviewed. She counted various flaws in the current system of functionality. She also pointed out that, Congress has the confidence of winning Karnataka. Eventually, they plan to win back the whole territory from Karnataka.
Amit Shah could not act more indifferent to this passion and zeal of opposition.
When asked about dividing the country by the name of Hindu-Muslim, Shah replied with an anecdote.
Shah mentioned that “The country was divided only once. This happened in the year 1947. Congress was ruling that time. We were not even in the picture”.
Shah presented a very clear picture of ruling party’s efforts. He mentioned that “For 55 years, Congress ruled the nation. Why didn’t every house get the electricity, water, bank accounts? Also, there were not any public toilets for saving women’s dignity”.
Shah Talked in Concrete Stats
As per the stats, before Modi government came into power, more than 19,000 villages were deprived of electricity connection. Within 4 years of rule, BJP government finished the job of illuminating 15,000 villages. By the month of May, no village in the country will be electrified.
The goal is to provide free of cost electricity to every house by the year 2022. Also, the task of constructing 7.5 crore toilets was finished.
Shah on Congress’s Delusion of Victory
Discarding Congress’s delusional comments, Shah said, “Delusion cannot deceive people. At the time of daybreak, everything becomes clearer”.
Further, he said, “People who are talking about democracy, parliamentary rules, are those people, who extended Lok Sabha tenure by one year.” In this, he referred to National Emergency during Indira Gandhi rule. Her rule was extended by one year in unconstitutional ways.
Shah claimed that “Congress is shying away from the debate, while we are ready for colloquy”.
How BJP Feels About Major Coalitions of Opposition?
An interviewer asked Shah if he feels under-pressure because all other parties are making an alliance against BJP.
Shah said that “BJP is ruling in 20 states. Karnataka counting will also bring triumph to Modi government. We are glad that, people have to make alliances to break a grand gesture like BJP”.
Simultaneously, he comes with a banter that, “These alliances are like an Orange fruit. The moment, it’s peeled off, all sections get scattered”.
Defending NDA alliances, he mentioned that, in states like Tripura, we are religiously following Gathbandhan (alliance) rules.
