Britain adds India-made Covaccine to approved list of vaccines for international travel

The UK has added India-made Covaccine to the approved list of Kovid vaccines for international travel. The move will benefit both the vaccinated Indians traveling to the UK more.

They will no longer be required to undergo a PCR test before departure or stay in segregation at the address declared in the mandatory travel locator application.

Earlier this month, the covaccine, manufactured by Bharat Biotech, was included in the list of emergency use by the World Health Organization, due to which the UK announced its inclusion in the list of approved vaccines for Kovid from 22 November.
The process of preparing the World Health Organization’s emergency list includes review of the quality, safety and appropriateness of data prepared by World Health Organization experts and validation by several countries.
