A Delhi court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of Aftab Amin Poonawalla, accused in the murder and dismemberment of his live-in partner, by another 14 days.
Poonawalla was produced before Metropolitan Magistrate Aviral Shukla. The court, while extending his judicial custody for 14 days, directed the jail authorities to provide him with warm clothes. Earlier on January 6, the court had extended the judicial custody of Poonawalla for four days.
Aftab Poonawalla (28) had allegedly killed his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar, cut her body into 35 pieces and dumped them in different parts of the national capital.
