Connecting with the BJP Karyakartas(workers) of Varanasi through the ‘Narendra Modi App’ Prime Minister Modi, on Tuesday, stated that his government, the NDA, had pulled out five crore Indians from poverty over the past four years.
Prime Minister Modi also said that the lives of nearly three lakh children were saved because of the Government’s ‘Swatch Bharat Abhiyaan’. PM Modi also cited the report of World Health Organisation to substantiate his claim on the positive outcome of the Swatch Bharat mission.
The Prime Minister also opined that his government had constructed more toilets in four years than was done in the past 70 years. The Prime Minister said, “India was moving forward in fast pace.”
The Prime Minister also mentioned the ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas’ that is scheduled to be held between January 21 and 23.
The Prime Minister appealing to the residents of Varanasi urged that the people should come together to make the event, where a large number of Indian diaspora is expected to come, a success. He said, “We need to demonstrate to the world Kashi’s spirituality and the Indian culture during ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Divas’ next year.”
Interacting with the BJP karyakartas in Varanasi PM Modi further added, “Our focus is on preventive healthcare.” Adding he opined, “This helps the poor and middle class people the most. Along with this, healthcare must also be affordable.”
The Prime Minister in his interaction also urged the people of Varanasi to make all the flagship programmes including the ‘Swachchata hi Seva’ mission a grand success.
