Yesterday, PM Modi’s blitzkrieg campaign was launched in Karnataka. It was another legit attempt to add a massive state like Karnataka in BJP’s win bucket. Karnataka will go to polls on May 12th, for which both the major political factions of the country are making arduous attempts.
It was the first day of PM Modi’s election rally in Santhemarahalli in Chamarajanagara district. PM Modi initiated the speech with a ferocious attack on Congress party president and Congress president Rahul Gandhi. He covered a myriad of issues and highlighted various major loopholes in Congress’s vision. With the help of little anecdotes, he strived to prove the utter failure of Siddaramaiah government’s in an important state like Karnataka.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also hurled an attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah saying “he is contesting from multiple seats and fearing a rout”.
He called this Chief Minister’s “2+1 formula” according to which Mr. Siddaramaiah is fighting from two seats – his son competing from one seat. He called it as “innovation” in imperial politics of the Congress party. Mr. Modi that, “CM’s family is contesting from three seats, so that, the family will be able to continue if they win from at least one constituency”.
The Game of Family Politics
He mentioned that tradition of “family politics” of the Congress party had shattered not only democracy but also the whole nation. On contrary, the BJP believes in “people’s politics”. Also, PM Modi called Siddaramaiah governments as “corrupt” which is posing roadblocks in the regulation of Central government projects in the state of Karnataka.
PM Modi Spoke on Murders
Further on, PM Modi addressed in Udipi – “Congress government brought in the tradition of ‘ease of doing murder’ in the State of Karnataka these five years said, PM Modi. He also mentioned that “It is a sad news that, 24 BJP workers had been killed in the State of Karnataka”.
Those people were killed for speaking against the deeds of State government. He pointed out that, “Is it wrong to hold differing opinions in a democracy? There is no place for violence in a democracy”.
The state Chief Electoral Office has mentioned that in total, 2,655 candidates entered the fray for the May 12 Assembly elections. Most likely, this will set the pace for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
The reports mentioned that PM Modi will address 15 rallies – Amit Shah will lead 30 rallies and UP CM Yogi Adityanath will address 20 rallies, during these election campaigns.
