The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate his 68th birthday in his parliamentary constitution Varanasi with more than 300 students.
It has been reported that among them around 200 students will be from Primary school and rest are from slum areas.
A government source also added he can address a rally at Amphitheatre ground of Benaras Hindu University (BHU) during his two days Varanasi visit beginning today.
His programme will be followed by gifting of development schemes valued at around Rs 650 crore to develop his parliamentary constituency.
UP minister Neelkanth Tiwari confirmed the PM’s schedule and visit time. PM Modi has reached Varanasi on Monday around 16.30hours. The minister also asserted that children will present birthday cards to our honourable PM, who will offer sweet to him.
A source of PMO confirmed, “The PM will have a night stay at Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) guest house where he will meet about 70 children of slum areas. The children are being taught by a group of 10 students of the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith (MGKV).”
Meanwhile a major intersections across town are embellished superbly. Sanitation drive is being administrated at 68 locations along with those slum areas.
A district officers, not willing to mention his name, opined that security has been beefed up within the town and a minimum of 12,000 personnel had been deployed for the PM’s security. A UP BJP source said that Monday night PM can have a night tour during the visit.
It is reported that the major projects to be dedicated to the people include IPDS underground cabling work in Old Kashi (Rs 362 crore), electrification of 3,722 villages (Rs 84.61 crore), installation of meters (Rs 9.9 crore), Nagepur (PM’s adopted village) potable water project (Rs 2.74 crore) and two power sub stations.
Basic Shiksha Adhikary (BSA) Jai Singh same all preparations for the PM’s visit had been completed.
