As Congress President Rahul Gandhi demanded Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s resignation over “free passage” given to the fugitive liquor barron Vijay Mallya, activist Shehzad Poonawalla on Thursday claimed “Rahul Gandhi met PNB fraud suspect Nirav Modi at a hotel in Delhi on Sep 2013.”
The activist even challenged that the Congress chief could not deny the fact, he met Nirav Modi in 2013.
In a series of tweets, Sehzad Poonawala said: “If PL Punia can prove that Arun Jaitley met Vijay Mallya (and accosted meeting), I will swear on Quoran and will undergo polygraph that @RahulGandhi (tweet attachment) attended Nirav Modi’s party and Bridal wear programme at Imperial building in Delhi on Sep 2013, whereas loans were wrongly given to Mama-Bhanja”.
“I am openly challenging Rahul Gandhi to deny he did not meet Nirav Modi in Sep 2013’s party -if my memory serves me right! Imperial Hotel- Rahul spent a long time. In the Same periods when loans were given to Mehul Choksi and Nirav Modi!! SPG might have records or let’s bear polygraph test?” he added.
Poonawalla asserted that there could be a reason why Rahul Gandhi has shaped a Maha-GathBandhan with Vijay Mallya and relies on such fugitives’ statements – ever since @narendramodi government brought the Fugitive within the purview of Economic Offender’s Law. Now the Bhagodas and potential Bhagodas are feeling anxious.”
A recent war of words burst out between the BJP and Congress over Vijay Mallya on Thursdasy with Congress President Rahul Gandhi seeking minister of finance Arun Jaitley’s resignation over “free passage” given to the fugitive liquor baron, and therefore the BJP hit out by alleging that UPA government gave “sweet deals” to him which Gandhi family “partially has a hand in the now-defunct King Fisher Airlines through proxy”.
The ruling party rejected the demand for Jailtley’s resignation and instead turned the tables on Congress by asking Rahul Gandhi to quit because of the National Herald case.
