Two school students in Pune discover six preliminary Asteroids

Two students from the Lohegaon School in Pune found six tentative asteroids at the Kalam Center Asteroid Discovery Campaign, coordinated by the Kalam Center and the International Astronomical Search Partnership (IASC).

Vikhe Patil School announced that Arya Pula and Shreya Waghmare had discovered asteroids, adding that all 22 campaign participants had been chosen following a stringent screening process via a global event organised between November 9 and D.

In a Saturday update, Vikhe Patil School announced that Arya Pula and Shreya Waghmare had discovered asteroids, adding that all 22 campaign participants had been chosen following a stringent screening process via a global event organised between November 9 and D.

“Knowing the asteroids around and mapping them is an important element in our bid to understand and monitor these flyings rocks around our planet,” said Srijan Pal Singh, former Advisor (Technology and Policy) to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and founder of the Kalam Centre.
