What no Indian captain has managed to achieve so far, Virat Kohli, the Indian run machine, a test series win in Australian soil, is looking for the success. Kohli, India’s champion across all formats of the gentleman’s game will be up for a challenging tour of India, and the men in blue is are all set to tour Australia.
Kohli, who was rested for the recently concluded three-match T20I series against West Indies, has been in red-hot form in all three formats of the game, and the Indian think tank would want the captain of the Indian cricket team to continue his run-scoring spree even in Australia.
However, the Indian team would be without the services of MS Dhoni in the T20I series after the latter was dropped from the shortest format making way for Risabh Pant. In test matches, Rohit Sharma and Murali Vijay are the two batsmen who have been recalled into the squad for the five day format. Indian selectors would always want Prithvi Shaw to make an impact away from home.
India’s tour of Australia consists of matches in all formats-3 T20Is, 4 Tests and 3 ODIs- with the first match of the tour scheduled to take place on November 21. The first match of the series is scheduled to take place on November 21. The first test begins on December 6, while the first ODI takes place on January 12, here is the full schedule of the series.
