This year’s edition of the Indian Premier League is just a few days away and teams are all geared up to battle it out to win the coveted title. Fans are in a frenzy as they are waiting eagerly and looking for ways to buy wickets for home as well as big clashes.
Delhi Daredevils has announced the start of online ticket sales which will range from Rs 750 to Rs 17,500 and will be available through their ticketing partner, Paytm.
As per the IPL schedule, DD will play their first home match on 21 April against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Feroz Shah Kotla. Keeping that in mind, the retail counters will start the sale of tickets from 4th April.
The IPL 2018 will start on 7th April with the opening match between the Chennai Super Kings and the defending champions Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The IPL is awaited by cricketing fans every year and long queues to buy tickets is a usual sight at the ticket counters. There is hardly any ticket left for an IPL match in any city, such is the craze of the league in the cricket hungry nation.
The former skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders, Gautam Gambhir who was bought for Rs 2.8 crore will be leading the Delhi Daredevils in this year’s IPL and former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has been appointed the head coach of Delhi Daredevils. Gambhir has expressed joy and eagerness to work with Ponting as he looks to change the fortunes of Delhi in this year’s edition.
Delhi Daredevils had retained Rishabh Pant, Chris Morris, and Shreyas Iyer during this year’s retentions. They have a line up of hard hitters of the likes of Glenn Maxwell, Jason Roy, and Colin Munro while having world class bowlers in the form of Kagiso Rabada, Trent Boult and Mohammad Shami.
