Japan tore down a Colombian team that was reduced to 10 men and won the game 2-1, on Tuesday in Saransk. The game started terribly for Colombia, which had lined up without its star, James Rodrigues, who is nursing a leg injury.
Yuya Osako raced past the Colombian defence in the 6th minutes and was alone in the goal. David Ospina saved the shot, but it rebounded to Kagwa who was following to the play. His own shot was blocked, but Carlos Sanchez of Columbia used his hand to do so.

That meant it was penalty, and red card for Sacnchez. Columbia played the remaining 84 minutes with one man down, and Kagwa converted the penalty into Goal. After that Columbia tried to equalise many times, but the Japanese defence blocked them efficiently. However, the Latin team drew first blood in the 39th minute and equalized the score from a free kick.
But the ten member Columbian side could not compete with the Japanese speed.
