#India #Sri #Lanka and #Bangladesh will be playing #T20I in the #Lankan Island.
The T20I fever is not over yet, after defeating the mighty South Africans at their home, India will take on the Lankan Tigers and the Bangla Tigers for the T20I Tri series.
This series will start on 6th March 2018 at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo and the final match will be played at the same venue on 18th March 2018.
Total 7 matches will be played between these 3 teams.
Rohit Sharma will lead this young Indian side. Hit Man has a good record in T20I as a captain.
He is the first Indian captain to win his first 4 matches as a T20I captain. Rohit has 100% record in T20I. Rohit also has the IPL experience; there also he is the first captain to have 3 IPL trophies.
He has whitewashed Sri Lanka in T20I, when the Lankan Tigers toured India a few months ago.
Rohit will look to repeat the same success in this Nidahas Trophy.
India will look to dominate this series with another good performance.
With Virat Kohli, India has rested MS Dhoni, Umesh Yadav, Kedar Jhadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohd Shami, Hardik Pandya and they have included the young talents like Deepak Hooda, Mohd Siraj, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar and Rishab Pant.
These youngsters have a golden opportunity to prove their worth; this should be the proud moment for them to represent their country.
In this 15 member squad, Shikhar Dhawan, Skipper Rohit Sharma, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik and Yuzvendra Chahal are the senior members.
They should help these youngsters as their senior pros.
The Indian squad for this T20I Tri series are –
Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma (C), Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, KL Rahul, Deepak Hooda, Mohd Siraj, Vijay Shankar, Washington Sundar and Rishab Pant.
The Bangla Tigers will be on roar when they will see the Indian team with their missing stars.
They didn’t do well in the test series. Sri Lanka won the second test after the first test was drawn.
Bangladesh will be hoping for a better show in the shortest format. They also lost the T20I series. Sri Lanka won both the T20I matches.
Bangladesh will look to improve their performance under their new captain. Shakib Al Hasan will lead the Bangladeshis in this Nidahas Trophy.
Bangladesh looks the weakest in this Tri series competition but India and Sri Lanka can’t underestimate them.
The experience of their skipper Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushifiqur Rahim, Somya Sarkar, Imrul Kyes and Sabbir Rahman should help them to compete well against India and Sri Lanka.
The 15 member squad for the Bangla Tigers are –
Shakib Al Hasan (captain) Mahmudullah Riyad (vice-captain), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim, Sabbir Rahman, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mehedi Hasan Miraz, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Abu Haider Rony, Abu Jayed Rahi, Ariful Haque and Nazmul Islam Apu.
Sri Lanka did well in Bangladesh they won the test series and the T20I there.
They will hope to continue their same performance in this Nidahas Trophy also.
But they have not won a T20I match against India from sometime.
This poor record of the Lankans Tigers will play at their minds when they will take Rohit and co for the 1st T20I match of the series.
Sri Lankan team is still inexperienced, with no Angelo Mathews for this series their confidence will dent more.
Now they have also dropped Lasith Malinga from the squad. Malinga has been given a rough treatment by the Sri Lankan board. Malinga is a legend, under him they won their T20 World Cup in Bangladesh.
But now he is not been considered, this is very sad to see how Sri Lanka treats their most experienced player.
Dinesh Chandimal will lead this Sri Lankan side.
The Likely 15 member squad for Sri Lanka
Dinesh Chandimal (Captain), Upul Tharanga, Danushka Gunathilaka, Kusal Mendis, Dasun Shanaka, Kusal Janith Perera, Thisara Perera, Jeewan Mendis, Suranga Lakmal, Niroshan Dickwella, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Isuru Udana, Jeffrey Vandersay, Akila Dananjaya, Amila Aponso, Asitha Fernando, Lahiru Kumara, Nuwan Pradeep, Dushmantha Chameera and Dananjaya De Silva
