Olympic bronze medalist and former world number 1 Saina Nehwal and men’s world number 28 HS Prannoy tested positive for Covid-19 at the Thailand Open. In the third and final mandatory round of the Covid-19 pre-tournament checks, Saina and Prannoy were screened positive and asked to be isolated in the hospital for a minimum of 10 days by the organisers. Both players are out of the tournament.
