Bangladesh was invited to bat first by India after winning the toss.
Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar opened the innings and from India Jaydev Unadkat opened the bowling.
Bangladesh started off decently in first two overs but they needed this start to go on.
After adding 20 in 2 overs, Unadkat draws the first blood, he picked up Soumya Sarkar quickly before making further damage.
Sarkar flicks straight to the short fine leg fielder Chahal. He departs for 14 runs.
Liton Das was the batsman in at number 3, it would have been good if Bangladesh’s most experienced batsman Mushfiqur Rahim would have batted at this number.
Liton das batted well, he played a crucial innings for Bangladesh with Tamin Iqbal.
The partnership between these two Bangladeshi batters looked dangerous but it didn’t last long as they would have liked.
Shardul Thakur came back strongly in this match, after his lbw appeal was turned down; Thakur bangs the ball short to Iqbal and the fielder at short fine leg Unadkat makes no mistake to dismiss Tamim Iqbal for 15 runs.
Bangladesh was in a spot of bother after losing their openers quickly.
They wanted Mushfiqur Rahim to hold the innings together with Liton Das.
Liton Das had his luck with him, he was dropped twice of Vijay Shankar’s bowling. The first catch was dropped by India’s most safest fielders Suresh Raina and the second catch was drop by young Washington Sundar.
This dropped chance would have been a costly miss for India, for some time it looked like so.
Liton Das was making this opportunity count but Rahim couldn’t support Das.
Rahim was caught behind the stumps, Rahim comes down the wicket and throws bat at it, he gets a fine edge and keeper Dinesh Karthik catches it easily. DK went for a review straight away, the ultra edge showed that Rahim had edge it. He makes a long walk back to the pavilion. He scored 18 runs.
Skipper Mahmudullah joins Liton Das at the crease.
Bangladesh needed a partnership to put a big score on the board.
Liton Das was going well, but he needed a partner to support him.
Skipper Mahmuddullah disappoints this time, Vijay Shankar strikes for the second time.
He gets Mahmuddullah for just 1 run. Bangladesh’s skipper could resist to go after the harmless delivery outside the off stump, he punches it to the to the sweeper cover. Shardul Thakur was placed there to take the catch.
The Indian bowlers were all over the poor Bangladeshis.

Liton das was the one who was taking the attack to the opposition.
He was looking very good and comfortable at the crease, but Yuzvendra Chahal gives India a vital breakthrough.
Liton Das was batting really well than this point, Das mis times the flighted delivery by Chahal and Raina takes a good catch. Das was out for 34 runs.
Bangladesh was pushed in more trouble due to Liton Das’s wicket.
It was Shabbir Rahaman who held the innings together for Bangladesh.
But the lower order of Bangladesh couldn’t do much. They struggled to score runs at a quick pace, with that they also lost the wickets.
Mehidy Hasan was out for just 3, instead of playing a supporting with the main batter Shabbir Rahaman, Mehidy mistimes the ball and gave a running catch to Manish Pandey.
Taskin Ahmed and Shabbir Rahaman bat well for some time, but the Indian bowlers struck again.

Jaydev Unadkat picked up 3 wickets, but he was expensive. Vijay Shankar picked two wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal, Shardul Thakur picked up 1 wicket each to their name.
The chase of 140 runs wasn’t a great one for India; they struggled to chase the lowest total.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhaw opened the innings just like the last match.
They both added 28 runs for the opening wicket, but this opening stand didn’t long.
Rohit Sharma was the first one to go, he tried to play the cross seam delivery with no room that darted back to the stumps and shattered the stumps of the Indian skipper. He was out for just 17 runs.
Rishab Pant was promoted at number 3 this time, but he could score only 7 runs.
He batted for a little while with Dhawan, but he couldn’t play a big innings. Pant also tried to play a shot like Rohit Sharma and he chopped on to his stumps. He was out for just 7 runs.
Shikhar Dhawan was the one who again held the innings together.
Suresh Raina played well at number 4, he and Dhawan rebuild the Indian innings with 68 run partnership.
This partnership brought the Indian innings right on track.
But this partner didn’t steer India home, Rubel Hossain broke this stand. He picked up Raina’s wickets for 28 runs.
Raina was out due to the short delivery. Rubel Hossain cleverly bowls it to Raina’s weakness.
Raina tried to play the short delivery with a crouch instead of back foot. In the end he ends up chipping it in the air to Mehdy Hasan. Raina was out for 28 runs.
Manish Pandey and Shikhar Dhawan take India closer to the Bangladesh total.
Dhawan has been brilliant since the South African tour, he played well in the first match and he continued to play well in this match too.
