Even while chasing 163 as target Mumbai Indians batsmen weren’t on the mark. But youngster Washington Sundar did well for the Pune team. He picked up 3 wickets for just 16 runs. He picked up the important wickets of Rohit Sharma, Ambati Rayudu and Kieron Pollard. Other bowlers like Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat and Lockie Ferguson supported the 17 year old Washington Sundar very well.
Mumbai only managed to score 142 in their 20 overs and thus lost the match by 20 runs.
For Kolkata Knight Riders everything was perfect when they played against The Hyderabad on Wednesday.
First they restricted SRH batting line up for just 138 runs in their 20 overs. Nathan Coulter Nile was the pick of the bowler for KKR and the rain gods also helped the KKR side. Due to D/L method they were given to chase just 48 runs in the 6 overs.
Although Kolkata lost the way in between but Skipper Gautam Gambhir was there to take his team home. His 32 not out won the game for KKR. In 5.2 overs Kolkata chased their target down comfortably without any further hiccups.
Against Mumbai Indians the Kolkata bowlers will have an upper hand against in consistent batting line up. The slow Bangalore pitch will help the bowlers like Umesh Yadav, Nathan Coulter Nile, Piyush Chawla and Sunil Narnie.
The Mumbai Indians will have to lot think about their playing eleven if they want to be the second finalist of this IPL season 10 and they have the momentum with them as they have won both the matches against Kolkata Knight Riders in this IPL 2017.
On the other hand the Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking for their first win against the Mumbai Indians.
They will have to take a decision on Mitchell Mcclenaghan. Mitchell Johnson will be an idea replacement. The Aussie pacer is waiting for some action.
