Rahul’s ton gave India a secure win at Old trafford
KL Rahul hits an unbeaten century, and India beat England by 8 wickets at Manchester.
After this win India lead the series by 1-0. However, England has to find out a solution on how they will play Kuldeep Yadav.
After winning the vital toss, Indian skipper sent the British team to bat first. In 20 overs England scored 159. Out of which forty runs came from the last 4 overs.
Bhubaneswar Kumar was the most expensive bowler for India, but Kuldeep was economical. For England Buttler lead the team from front and made 69 in just 46 bowls.
Wonder bowler for India Kuldeep Yadv took this important wicket and visitors were relieved. Indian skipper, Virat Kohli said that they were very convincing in this game. He added that he was happy about the youngsters stepping up.
He was all praises for Rahul and Kuldeep for the way they have played. He reckons Kuldeep’s over changed the game for them. He feels England was barred from scoring 30-40 runs more only because of Yadav.
Chasing this score India lost Sikhar Dhawan at an early stage. After that Rohit Sharma and Lokesh Rahul took India on the winning path. The two plundered the England bowling. Rohit was happy to play second fiddle to Rahul.
The duo added 123 in just 71 balls, which turned the tide completely in India’s favour.
When India was in 130, then they lost Rohit’s wicket. After that skipper Kohli and Rahul easily achieved the wining target.
A big over boundary banged by Kohli confirmed Indian win in the 18.2 overs.
England skipper Eoin Morgan said that India played really well. He further added the conditions were good and India fought back really hard. He also acknowledged the knock of Rahul.
Captain Morgan also admitted that they failed to take all the chances that came towards them and they can not afford to do that when they are defending an average total.
Expert said that great it was a great start for in India in England.
