After making a successful blockbuster cop universe with films like ‘Singham’, ‘Simmba’ and the upcoming ‘Sooryavanshi’, director Rohit has spilled the beans on his latest plan of creating a woman cop universe next.
Recently the filmmaker admitted that he definitely has a plan to make a female cop film to complete his ‘Singham’ franchise.
However, the director also clarified that it might take some more time before it rolls. Rohit was speaking to press at a special session at the FCCI Frames 2019. At this program while he was asked if he has any plans to make a female cop film, Shetty stated, “Soon we will be making it. We have a story in mind. We will definitely do it. We need to take a year or so, but we plan to do that to complete the universe.”
Rohit, who has delivered constant blockbusters and is known for making larger-than-life massy films, asserted he got the inspiration to start a universe on female cop while watching Hollywood superhero ventures like Avengers. He also added that whatever happens in Hollywood happens here 10 years down the line. That’s always been the theory.
“Obviously, we don’t have the kind of budget to make so many superhero films year after year. Then I thought to make a cop universe from ‘Simmba’ onwards,” further Rohit added. He also admitted to being nervous in the beginning when the idea came to him.
Meanwhile, Rohit is busy with his latest venture with ‘Sooryavanshi’, which features Akshay Kumar as protagonist.
