Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanied by BJP president Amit Shah on Friday visiting their guides and veteran BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi at their residence for their blessings.
It was their first visit after registering a massive victory on Thursday after the counting of votes of the parliamentary elections.
Taking it to Twitter, PM Modi said, “Called on respected Advani ji. The BJP’s successes today are possible because greats like him spent decades building the party and providing a fresh ideological narrative to the people.”
The Prime Minister also shared a photograph on his Twitter page and wrote, “Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi is a scholar and intellectual par excellence. His contribution towards improving Indian education is remarkable. He has always worked to strengthen the BJP and mentor several Karyakartas, including me. Met him this morning and sought his blessings.”
BJP-led NDA bagged 352 seats, while BJP alone won 303 of them in the 542 seats that underwent parliamentary polls.
