US Pilot Rescued from Iran, Israel Played a Role in the Operation

A major development has emerged from the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran. Iran had shot down two American fighter jets — an A-10 and an F-15E — and one pilot had gone missing. After a complex multi-hour operation, the pilot was successfully rescued. President Trump confirmed the news on Truth Social.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Trump on the successful operation and revealed that Israel had assisted the US during the mission. He wrote on social media, ‘I am proud that Israel was able to help rescue a brave American warrior.’ Trump in turn praised Israel’s support during the mission.

However, Iran questioned the operation’s framing. The Iranian Embassy in Finland asked whether it was ‘a heroic rescue or an attempt to hide a failure,’ adding that the operation by the world’s most professional military ultimately amounted to rescuing just one crew member. The embassy suggested this was not an occasion for pride.

The incident unfolded at a time when tensions between the two countries are at their peak. The shooting down of US aircraft was a significant blow to American military operations in the region, but the pilot’s safe return has lifted morale. The search for the second crew member continues.
