Britain’s prime ministerial contender Rishi Sunak once again topped the list to be the Conservative Party’s next leader with the support of 118 MPs in yesterday’s fourth and final vote.
Sunak had the votes of 115 MPs after Monday’s voting. Junior Trade Minister Penny Mordant came second with 92 votes and Foreign Minister Liz Truss came third with 86 votes.
Tory MPs will vote again tonight. All one lakh 80 thousand members of the Conservative Party will vote for the election of the two top candidates in the final contest. The winner will be announced on 5 September.
