The UK has approved Covaccine, an India-made anti-Covid vaccine developed by Bharat Biotech. The British government said in a statement that from November 22, the vaccine will get official recognition. Covaccine will be added to the list of approved anti-Covid vaccines for travel to the UK.
This will benefit those people from India and other countries who have received both the vaccines. Travelers who have received both vaccinations and a certificate of this will not need any pre-screening to travel to the UK, nor will they be placed in isolation upon arrival in the UK.
Travel rules are being simplified for people below 18 years of age. These passengers will be deemed to have received both anti-Covid vaccines and will not be placed in isolation upon arrival in the UK.
