‘Didi will have to resign after May 2’, Amit Shah vows in a poll rally at Basirhat

The Union Home Minister Amit Shah while speaking at a rally in Basirhat Dakshin, said, “Didi is repeatedly saying Amit Shah must resign. Didi, when people will inquire from me to resign, then i will be able to . But you want to prepare as you’ll need to resign on May 2.” He also alleged that Mamata’s advice to gherao central forces instigated people to attack the central forces personnel.”.”

From a news conference in Siliguri, Banerjee spoke to the families of the four villagers who were shot dead by the central forces at a booth in Sitalkuchi, within the Cooch Behar district.

Police said local residents stormed the polling place following rumours within the area and tried to grab weapons of the safety personnel who retaliated by opening fire. In response, the committee has barred the entry of any politician within the district for subsequent 72 hours.

From a news conference in Siliguri, Banerjee spoke to the families of the four villagers who were shot dead by the central forces at a booth in Sitalkuchi, within the Cooch Behar district. Calling the incident “nothing but genocide”, Banerjee said, “They fired targeting the chest. If their intention was to disperse the mob, they could have fired at the legs of individuals but they targeted their chests. they need no experience in controlling a mob.”
