The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that 500 tonnes of medical supplies going into the country have been stuck due to restrictions at Kabul airport in Afghanistan. The WHO has said that more than three lakh people have been displaced in the last two months due to the Taliban and they need to reach food and medical supplies.

WHO Spokesperson Inas Hamam has said that at this time the eyes of the world are on the evacuation of people from Afghanistan, but there is a need to provide assistance to those who have been left.

UNICEF Executive Officer of the United Nations, Henrietta Fore, said that one crore children in Afghanistan need assistance and their condition needs to worsen in the coming days.
