External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has said that India stands firmly with the people of Afghanistan as before. He said that the international community has to be united to restore a smooth atmosphere in Afghanistan.
Speaking at the UN High-Level Meeting on the Humanitarian Situation in Afghanistan, Dr Jaishankar said that in the current situation in Afghanistan, ensuring effective infrastructure is the primary challenge. Dr Jaishankar said that India has always supported the central role of the United Nations in the future of Afghanistan.
He said that India has invested more than three billion US dollars in Afghanistan and initiated five hundred projects in various sectors.
