Blaming the ruling Trinamool Congress for the ruckus in the state assembly over the Birbhum violence, senior party leader and Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said it was an attempt to ruin democracy.
Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he said that the people of the state have given a mandate to the Trinamool Congress to rectify the old mistakes, but the Trinamool Congress has failed to do so.
On the sacking of BJP MLAs, party MP Locket Chatterjee alleged that the Speaker of the Assembly has taken action against the MLAs on the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said that five MLAs were injured in this scuffle.
