Bill passed to integrate three MCDs of Delhi

Lok Sabha has passed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi-Amendment Bill, 2022. The Bill proposes to further amend the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Act, 1957 and form only one Municipal Corporation of Delhi by merging the three existing Municipal Corporations of Delhi.

We have brought this bill exactly in accordance with the powers given by the Constitution and completely Constitutional Bill The right of the Government of India to bring legislation on any matter of the Union Territory of Delhi Under 239 AA-3C, the Parliament of this country is made by the Legislative Assembly of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It has the most right to amend, change its form, or repeal any law passed.

Unified Municipal Corporation will replace three mayors with one mayor, 75 committees will be replaced by 25 committees, three municipal commissioners will be replaced by one municipal commissioner, three headquarters will be replaced by one headquarter, there will be equality in decisions, there will be unity in the same city. There will be no structure of two types of tax. The financial position will also be good and the expenditure of about 150 crores will be less than this annually.
