Once again the government has taken strong action against some channels and blocked 16 news channels simultaneously. The list of blocked YouTube channels includes not only Indian, but also Pakistani channels. The content published by these YouTube channels depicts a community as terrorist.
Apart from this, they were promoting hatred among religious communities. Not only this, these YouTube channels also spread a lot of fake news regarding the Corona lockdown, which posed a threat to the migrant laborers.
All of them ran false news on matters like the Indian Army, India’s position on the Russo-Ukraine War and Jammu and Kashmir, thereby attempting to hurt the sovereignty of the country.
Even before this digital strike has been done by the government. Earlier this month, the government had banned 22 YouTube videos in India. 4 Pakistani channels were also included in this list.
