EC asks Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde to produce documents

Whose Shiv Sena in Maharashtra… Both Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde are staking claim for this and the tussle between the two has been going on for several days. Meanwhile, now the Election Commission has asked both of them to prove to whom Shiv Sena belongs. For this, the Election Commission has given time till August 8 to both of them.

The leaders of both the Shiv Sena factions, Uddhav Thackeray and Eknath Shinde, have been asked to prove with documentary evidence in whose favor the majority is in favor. The commission has asked the Thackeray faction and the Shinde faction to clarify the position citing separate letters written in this regard to the Election Commission.

Earlier, both the Thackeray faction and the Shinde camp had approached the Election Commission to stake claim on the Shiv Sena party.
