Hundreds of people gathered for ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Delhi

Hundreds of people carrying the national flag gathered outside the Red Fort on Tuesday to participate in the ‘Tiranga Yatra’. The yatra will pass through eight places where Mahatma Gandhi visited during the freedom struggle. Union Minister Jitendra Singh, MP Prakash Javadekar and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vijay Goel flagged off the visit.

Goel said the eight places through which the yatra will pass include Katra Khushal Rai, Marwari Public Library, Gandhi Maidan, Sangam Theater and Gurdwara Sheeshganj Sahib, where Mahatma Gandhi had visited and held meetings there during the freedom movement.

Tight security arrangements have been made in Chandni Chowk area and the entire area is decorated with tricolor and flowers. There a cultural program was also organized in the Town Hall, where children from different schools performed.
