The process of attaching the house of terrorist Adil Wani, who killed a Kashmiri Pandit, began on Wednesday in Shopian, while his father and three brothers were arrested for giving him shelter. Adil Wani had killed Sunil Kumar Bhat in an orchard in Shopian village on Tuesday and later went into hiding in his house in Kutpora.
He said the security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation but Wani escaped in the dark after hurling a grenade at the police party. He is a terrorist of the banned terrorist group Al-Badr.
Police recovered arms and ammunition from Wani’s house during a search operation, following which the authorities started the process of attaching the house and arrested his father and three brothers.
Eyewitnesses and relatives of Sunil Kumar had identified Wani as the attacker. On Tuesday, Wani had fired indiscriminately at Sunil Kumar and his brother while working in the apple orchard.
