Amit Shah has appreciated the decision of the Center to remove Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that since the abrogation of Article 370, there has been a decrease in violence in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing a huge public meeting in Rajouri district, he said that the youth now have laptops and not stones in their hands.

Shah offered prayers at Mata Vaishno Devi temple this morning. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and officials of the Administrative and Shrine Board were also accompanying him. After reaching Raj Bhavan in Jammu last evening, the Home Minister met civil society, prominent businessmen and delegations from various organizations.

The Home Minister is likely to inaugurate 14 urban development projects, 48 road projects, eight bridges and ten power transmission projects in Jammu and Kashmir. He will lay the foundation stone of 41 water supply schemes under Jaljeevan Mission. Shah will also launch 225 online public services and release the second edition of the District Efficient Administration Index 2021-22.
