Communications and Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has expressed confidence that 80 per cent of the country’s population will be covered under 5G services in 24 to 36 months. He said that by next year, the state-owned telecom company BSNL will start 5G services.
Vaishnav said that 5G services have already started in 50 cities of the country. About 5,000 new locations are being added every week. He said that 5G services will bring a big change in the fields of education, health, agriculture and logistics.
In October this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched 5G services. 5G technology provides seamless service, higher data rates, faster and more reliable communication services.
