According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will be on a tour of Wardha, Maharashtra, on September 20. There, he will take part in the national PM Vishwakarma program. Additionally, to honor their legacy and lasting contributions to society, he will issue a commemorative stamp celebrating one year of progress under PM Vishwakarma.
Launch of the Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women’s Startup Scheme
To promote women-led startups in Maharashtra, the Prime Minister will launch the “Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Women’s Startup Scheme.” This scheme will provide assistance to women-led startups in their initial stages in Maharashtra. Notably, financial assistance of up to ₹25 lakh will be provided under the scheme. Additionally, 25% of the provisions under this scheme will be reserved for women from backward and economically weaker sections, as specified by the government. This will help women-led startups become self-reliant and independent.
Foundation Laying of PM MITRA Park
On Friday, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Amravati, Maharashtra. This park, spanning 1,000 acres, is being developed by the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) as the state implementing agency. The government has approved the establishment of seven PM MITRA parks for the textile industry.
